Our website address is: https://halloweencontest.ca. This contest is setup and run by Forest City Surplus Canada. This contest is for people in Southwestern Ontario to come and show off their halloween costumes for prizes and bragging rights.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it?
In order to maintain a fair voting system all voters must use a Facebook account in order to vote. One vote per IP address is allowed. In order to maintain this voting the Facebook member’s ID, other Facebook account information, and the IP addresses of users will be maintained by the website.
Who we share your data with
In order to allow Facebook voting your data will be shared with Meta. We also use Google Analytics and the analytical data will be shared with Google in order for Forest City Surplus to have accurate statistical information that is used to provide statistics to understand the popularity of the contest.
How long do we retain your data?
Voting information is retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and improve the website in the future and maintain accurate voting data in case of any disputes or accusations of fraud.
